Decathlon
If there is an athletic event such as the pentathlon which is five competitions in one, there is also an event for more super humans which are the decathlon. The word decathlon when divided into its Greek origin is deka which means ten and athlon which means contest. This is an event wherein ten track and field events are combined which are held in two consecutive days and winners are determined with their combined performance. For women the equivalent of the decathlon is the heptathon. The title of “World’s Greatest Athlete” is given to the man who wins a decathlon.
