Pollution, Not a Problem
It is easier running or jogging when you are inhaling fresh air. But for athletes involved in marathon it is a different story. They have to face the threat of pollution. Paula Radcliffe, the British world record holder for women’s marathon, believes that the quality of air in Beijing will not be a big problem for athletes. She says, the big problem would heat and humidity during the Olympic marathon. “We’re dealing with the same thing so I don’t think worrying about it in advance is that productive,” Radcliffe said. Just to let you know, she suffers from asthma.
